Without a doubt, insanity is one of the most rigorous and ultimately transformative exercise systems I have ever experienced developed by Shaun T. While many have questioned whether or not insanity is for fat people, I would challenge them to ultimately give the system a try. Insanity Cardio Abs Workout is just 20 minutes in length and begins with a warm-up.
Let’s have a detailed review over Insanity Workouts – Abs Section;
Insanity Cardio Abs Workout Review by Shaun T
Everybody is looking for that tight waistline and toned six-pack abs. While some of us go to extreme measures to achieve these results, one of the best approaches for many has been the insanity workout. Insanity is a program that was developed by Beach body fitness and is conducted by instructor Shawn T.
Ab Workout by Insanity is Insane
While there are many different areas to insanity focusing on various plyometric and isometric movements, one of the most rigorous is the insane absent portion. The insanity workouts are just that, insane.
Through this workout, you will be exposed to 33 min. of absolutely grueling ab training the likes of which you may have never experienced before. If you are to follow this entire program through completion, you are guaranteed to see some outstanding results.
Insanity Cardio Abs Workout Target Area
As for the ab training component, it will put you through various movements that incorporate your upper-middle and lower, abdominal muscles. It is a very comprehensive system that has been targeted to focus on some of the most problematic abdominal areas for most people.
Safety Precautions
While it is always recommended that any individual seeking to begin an exercise routine check with their medical professional to ensure that they are able to do so safely, it is always up to you to use your discretion when taking part in physical activity.
In the case of insanity, the system is designed with peak interval training as its main focal point. If you are unfamiliar with what peak interval training is, it is basically a training methodology that relies upon your heart rate being kept at optimum beats per minute rate.
Not Suitable for People with Obesity Issues
For some people, this may be a little bit more advanced than they are ready for. Many have recommended that individuals who are suffering from mild to moderate obesity typically start a more low-impact exercise routine prior to engaging in insanity Abs Workout.
Insanity Cardio Abs Workout Timeline
During the insanity cardio workout, the instructor Shaun T. begins with a workout that is aimed at warming you up for the movements.
Warmup is grueling
While many who first experiences warm-up tend to think that it is quite grueling in and of itself. They would be right as the warm-up is geared to ultimately get you ready for what is to come.
Once you have completed the warm-up movements that will truly put you to the test, you then move to the floor. Typically the warm-up session lasts around 5 min. and includes everything from plyometric movements to t kicks and even power jumps. Needless to say, just a warm-up for the insanity cardio workout is a workout in and of itself.
Actual Workout Session
Once you begin the ab-focused portion of the workout, Shaun T will take you through various movements and exercises that really target your core abdominal region. These exercises range including flutter kicks, c-Sits, low plank, high plank, child’s pose and even scissor kicks will have you begging for a break as they put your abdominals to the test.
Exercises in Insanity Abs Workout
Begin the session with twists of your hands, moving towards your knee. The next step is the A-Frame Ab Twist. To form an A, raise your hands above your head. Next, move your hands over each side and raise them up. Next, you move your hands up and over to the other side. Then, bring your high knees in towards each side. The last move in the C -Sit position is to simply keep your center steady. As shown in the image above. The entire segment takes approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Take a 30-second break and then you can get back in the C-Sit position. Single leg raises can be done from this position. You will pull your knee in and then raise your leg straight up. Repeat this process for the opposite side. Each Single leg Raises take 30 seconds. You will now get another 30-second break. Next, you will repeat the move with both your legs. This will take one minute. This is the end of the C-Sit position. Now, move to the plank position.
Another exercise which we like to mention is Wide Tuck Jumps. Its purpose is the same as for regular tuck jump, but it targets the inner thighs. (wide tuck jumps)
Is Insanity Cardio or Strength training?
INSANITY Abs Workout is a type of high-intensity interval training that incorporates a wide range of strength exercises including flutter kicks, c-Sits, low plank, high plank, child’s pose, and scissor kicks. According to how many workout programs define themselves, it’s far more strength-oriented than cardio.
Insanity circuit workout uses a variety of strength training exercises such as pull-ups, push-ups, jump rope, and others. All of these workouts are very short but extremely intense.
How long is cardio abs insanity?
I’m sure you were wondering how long does insanity cardio abs workout takes. And here’s your answer – about 20 minutes. Not too long, not too short.
The actual workout is about 20 minutes long and it is followed by a 35-minute cardio recovery session (yes, I know, it sounds boring, but you do it only once per week).
The workout consists of warm-up and cool-down. Both are about 3 minutes long. After that, there is one 10 minute interval workout where you do moves that target your abs. And then comes the 15-minute core recovery part – this is the time when you just lay on your back and relax.
Do abs count as cardio?
Maybe you were thinking that it’s not too bad. But hey, wait a sec – there is another interval in the middle of the workout and I said that this is an abs workout, right? It must be about crunches and other ab exercises like sit ups, and jump rope. That’s wrong. The only thing you do for your abs in an Insanity cardio workout is lying on your back and hold a plank pose. That’s it!
Is insanity cardio good for abs?
Short answer – yes, it will definitely give you a six-pack.
Long answer – it depends on how consistent you are while doing insanity Abs and what kind of food you eat. You can get awesome abs with any workout plan, but if you don’t control your diet and overeat, even the best workout won’t save you from extra pounds.
Insanity abs is a great workout if you want to make your core muscles stronger and improve your overall fitness. It contains a lot of cardio exercises like sit ups, jump rope, c-Sits, low plank, high plank, and child’s pose that will boost your endurance and burn the fat around your waistline. You can’t build muscle with insanity because it doesn’t contain any resistance training, but if you combine it with other workouts that will help you to improve your overall fitness and have a stronger core.
Can you do Insanity Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs same day?
Yes, you can. But if you don’t have enough time it’s better to do Cardio Abs in the morning and Pure Cardio workout in the evening or at night.
It won’t be easy to perform both workouts on the same day because they are very demanding and will take most of your energy. Doing only one is already hard enough.
If you want to see results and lose belly fat, I recommend you do cardio in the morning. In the evening or at night it’s ok if you want to relax a bit and don’t want to push yourself too much. Just make sure that the next day you will be doing another workout to keep your body in shape.
Is Insanity Abs Cardio recovery necessary?
Yes, it is. Nobody said that Insanity Cardio Recovery workout is very easy (well, at least I didn’t say that). But it’s necessary if you want to stay fit and improve your overall fitness.
If you don’t do cardio recovery sessions after doing cardio or other intense workouts you will risk an injury because your body will be too weak and won’t be able to perform various movements that you do during the main workout.
Insanity Cardio Abs Recovery session is very simple and you can easily follow it from your home. All you need is a yoga mat, a bottle of water, and a towel.
As I mentioned above, this workout will take about 35 minutes. The warm-up is about 5 minutes long, the cooldown is 3 minutes and the actual workout itself takes 18 minutes.
After doing this session once a week especially second week, you will notice that your body will be stronger and more flexible. You will increase your endurance and improve your overall fitness while also strengthening your core muscles which are very important if you want to look toned and fit.
If you don’t have enough time or just want to relax after a hard workout, this recovery session is definitely for you!
What are the benefits of Insanity Cardio Recovery?
This will help your body recover faster after doing intense workouts like Insanity Max 30 in which you will be pushing yourself to your limits.
It will also improve your cardiovascular system and strengthen your core muscles. Your body will be toned in no time, especially if you combine this workout with a healthy diet.
